Finding Tokyo trains routes & station names

Hello!

  1. What train route do I take from Nihonbashi-koamicho,Tokyo 103-0016 TO a Hotel at "5-1-13, Haneda,Tokyo 144-0043"? For this trip, our JR Pass will be expired. What train do you recommend to take if we have some luggage and without a JR Pass?

  2. Is there a way to find names of JR stations or local trains stations in Tokyo? With Hyperdia I need to have the name of the station. I'm using Google maps to find names of JR stations but I'm sure I'm doing it correctly.

Thank you!
Elsa

Hello Elsa,

1.) Looking finding addresses in Japan is pretty difficult, only the mail service seems to be able to do it right. It would be easier to look up hotels by name and then find the route. I would recommend looking up the access page of your hotel, [such as this one] and then see what they recommend in terms of arrival station. Then use Hyperdia to look up the route, it will most likely be this one.

2.) Google maps is one of the best ways, an alternative is to search for "Name hotel + access" to find the access page of a hotel and find the closest station that way.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
