Hi,

I will be arriving in Haneda airport on the 1st May midnight. Staying near the airport hotel. We would like to travel to Fukuoka the next morning . Please advise how to get to Tokyo to get the train to Fukuoka. Do I need to book seat reservation?

Will travelling from Fukuoka to Kawaguchiko on 5th May . Which is the best option as I will be staying near Fujisan Station.?

Your advice is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Regards,
Linda

Hi there,

You can use the Shinkansen from Tokyo station to Hakata (the station for Fukuoka). There is one transfer at Shin-Osaka and the full route is covered by the JR Pass. Seat reservations are recommended but not neccacry in case you want to use a non-reserved seat.

For Kawaguchiko, use the Shinkansen to Mishima station, from there express buses (non-JR) travel to Kawaguchiko.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
