Hi!

I am going to travel to Japan in less than 2 weeks Just bought my JR Pass and now planning my trip.

I have a few questions, I wish you could help me with...

I am planning to travel from Nara to Koya San. I found that on the internet that the JR line passes via Nara and stops at Hashimoto from where I can get another train and cable car.
My question is, will I be able to get a train from Nara to get to Hashimoto? and how long does it take? or do I really need to go back to Tokyo and travel from there?

After a night in Koya San, I will travel to Osaka. Can I use my JR pass for this destination? again, how long does it take?

Can I also use the JR Pass from Osaka to Hiroshima and Miyajima?

How long does it take to go from Hiroshima to Tokyo using a JR line?

Last question: Is there any JR train going to Fuji-Yoshida or Kawaguchi-Ko from Tokyo?

Thank you in advance for your answer, you would save my friend's life and mine :)

For info on visiting Koyasan, you first might look at:

and for getting there, see

(Make sure you click on "To/From Nara")

Yes, you can use your JR Pass to go to Hiroshima and Miyajima. For the latter you can also use it for the JR ferry to the island (there are 2 ferrries - make sure you go to the JR one). From Hiroshima to Tokyo by bullet train with a good connection is about 287 minutes, with a transfer either in Kobe or Osaka.

For Mt. Fuji you can go most of the way by a JR Pass, but not the whole way. These links can help:
