I will be travelling to Japan for 7days with the below temporary itinerary:

Is it worth it and practical to buy JR pass to use for Osaka-Tokyo? My flight entry and exit is Osaka.
What is the best and practical mode of transportation for Osaka-Tokyo for this trip?
Thank you!

Best Regards,

Hi Astrid,

The 7 day JR pass is well worth considering when making the return trip Osaka - Tokyo. The cost of a 7 day JR Pass is about the same as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka.

You can use the Hikari bullet trains between Tokyo - Osaka, as well as local travel on JR lines in Tokyo and to Nara and Kyoto. This together will give you great savings.

Hope this helps,

Thank you Daniel-san,

Below is my temporary/planned itinerary:
Day1 ETA Osaka
2 Osaka to Kyoto
3 Osaka to Kyoto-Arashiyama
4 Osaka to Nara/Himeji
5 Osaka to Hiroshima
6 Osaka to Tokyo
7 Tokyo
8 Tokyo to Osaka

Can I use the JR pass for all the locations I plan to visit? :)

Thanks so much!

Best Regards,
