My 2 sisters and myself are planning a 7 day trip from Osaka to Tokyo end April to bring our mom (who is 78 years old)for our first Japan holiday. She and I both walk with walking cane (myself due to stroke disability). Are there any senior or disabled discounts for the rail passes? We plan to use it from the Kansai airport upon arrival , travelling within the cities, then Osaka to Tokyo on the bullet train , day trips to Kyoto and Mt. Fuji then to Narita airport on departure. Would also appreciate any info on our planned itinerary as mentioned . Please advice

Hi there,

The JR Pass is already a discounted ticket and no further discounts are given. That said, staff will always be happy to assist you where required. Don't hold back asking for any assistance you may wish.

As for your trip, it looks good to me but I would buy normal tickets for this route as they would cost less than a 7 day JR Pass.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
