Hi guys,
i am planning a trip to japan for next fall and i was wondering if the JRpass works like european interrail pass:

If i'm staying n japan for two weeks and i want to travel by train just 7 non-consequent days, do i get the 7-days pass or i have to buy the fourteen days one?

Thank you for your cooperation, to whomever will answer!

Hi there,

The JR Pass is counted in consecutive days. That does not mean you would need to get a 14 day JR Pass. It will depend on where and when you want to travel. A 7 day JR Pass be good if you use that to cover your longer distance trips.

I can give you more detailed advice if you have a basic itinerary.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
