Hi Gilbert Goh,

I would suggest a 14 day JR Pass for your itinerary. By going to Fukuoka, Nagasaki and later to Fuji you would be making really good use of it. The best thing would be to activate your JR Pass on day 1 when you arrive until day 14, this way you can over all of your long and otherwise expansive travel.

Have you decided yet what area of Fuji you wish to visit? There are different places around the mountain that are worth a visit. One of the more popular is Fuji Five Lakes of which the 1st is called Kawaguchiko, its a very beautiful area and great for walks. The best way to travel there is via Tokyo, so you could plan a quick stop there as well.

Have a great trip!
Daniel
