I will travel to Japan with child born i november 2009 . She will have in Japan less than 6 years. Do I have to buy for her jr pass for children ( half price ) or she will be free ?
Hi there,
The child can travel for free, given that you will take her on your lap if trains are full. Because children below the age of 6 are technically not entitled to a seat. You could purchase a child pass if you want to be secure of seating for you and your child.
Generally there are more than enough seats to go around though.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
