Can one person buy more than one pass?

I am a little confused by the statement that "Visitors may purchase only ONE pass per visit per person".

I will be travelling for about 2.5 weeks. Can I buy both a 2 week JR Rail pass and a 3 or 4 day JR West Kansai area pass to be used during this one visit?

Thanks,
Stephanie.

Hi Stephanie,

The line you are referring to only applies to the Kansai Area Pass. You can only buy one of these each time you visit Japan. There is however no limit on the amount of JR-Passes or combinations of passes you can buy.

So in your case you are totally fine with using a 14-Day JRPass and a (1) Kansai area pass!

Hope this clears things up!
