can i use jr pass for non japan railway lines?

hi
I want to understand if the jr pass can be used to travel in non japan railway line like Ginza/marunouchi/hibiya/tozai/asakusa etc??

Since I don't anything about the metro/railway lines of Japan, i would like to understand the overall usage of JR pass and which all lines and trains can be used under JR pass. Please help.

Hi there,

Unfortunately Non-JR lines are not included in the JR Pass.

Such as the Metro/Subway systems. Additional tickets are required to travel on these lines. In many cases though, there is also a JR station in the neighborhood.
