I am currently in Vietnam, and about to fly to Phu Quoc. I will be there till 29th May. I then fly to Japan.
I have read that you can actually purchased you JRP now in certain places in Japan i.e Tokyo airport. I've read that it's being trialled for a year. I don't really want to have a ticket purchased in Saigon online (today is Sunday so the shops that sell them are closed) sent by FedEx to Phu Quoc. If it's delayed we've wasted £800.
Any help appreciated!!

Yes, it is possible to buy the JR Pass in Japan but the price is 10-20% more expensive. Alternatively, we could ship the JR Pass to your accommodation in Japan.
