We are traveling from Tokyo to Miyajima (with stops in Kyoto, Himeji and Hiroshima) between Sept. 11-Sept 16, 2015. We hear trains are crowded in September - should we purchase a Green Car pass to increase chances of booking tickets for the time of day we wish to travel?
Buy Ordinary or Green Car Pass
Hi there,
There are always plenty of tickets to go around, even during busy periods. Only during national holiday periods is that you have to reserve seats more than 1 day in advance.
So just buying a Green Class pass for just securing seats is not needed, having said that you can purchase Green Seat if you wish to travel in more comfort and quiet it is money well spend if you can miss it.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
