Hi - this is my first trip to Japan and I wanted to get the bullet train from Tokyo, to Kyoto and then goto Osaka and loop back to Tokyo - can i do this - looked on the JR website and found it confusing to do so - any help would be appreciated

Hi there,
Yes you can all of this and more with the JR Pass. Once you have your JR Pass and are in Japan, go to a manned ticket office at any station and tell the JR staff where you wish to go.
