Bullet train

We will be in Japan from 23 December to 2 January 2017. Can we use a JR pass to travel in a Bullet train. We also want to know which areas aroud Tokyo can we go and experience snow. We are from Africa and we really want to experience the bullet train and snow as these twoare unique to us

Hi there,

There are a couple of easy day trips you could make. One is Gala-Yuzawa in Tohoku. The other is going up to Nagano and city places like Jogokudani or Yudanaka Onsen.

There are bullet trains to both places and both are covered by the JR Pass.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

It depends on the country. You can find the details via www.jrpass.com/delivery

Japan to Japan is generally 3 business days.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
