Hello
We plan on being in Japan from 15 - 25 February 2018 (1 days).
Starting in Tokyo for two days, then onto Hakuba for 5 days skiing, then down to Kyoto and maybe Osaka, then back to Tokyo on Sunday 25 February to Nariata airport.
What would be the best JR pass option for all this travel.

Hi John,
You could consider a 7 day JR Pass for travel from Hakuba - Osaka/Kyoto and Tokyo. Then buy normal tickets for the first couple of days in Tokyo and trip to Hakuba.
Staying 5 days in Hakuba is definitely nice but not effective when it comes to using a JR Pass, therefor my advice would be to start using one once you depart Hakuba.
