I am coming to Japan on April 29th for 13 days. My itinerary is as follows:
Tokyo: April 29th - May 4th
Kyoto: May 4th - May 8th
Osaka: May 8th - May 11th - with day trip to Hiroshima
Tokyo: May 11th - May 12th

What would you suggest is the most economical way to transit with this itinerary? I was hoping to only do the 7 day JR pass for the 2nd half of the trip however, will actually require it for 8 days.

Hi there,

You travel enough for a 14 day JR pass to be a great help and it would cover all your travel from day 1-13. A 7 day JR Pass would indeed re-planning a bit to return to Tokyo before it expires.

Either option will work.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
