Advice needed for trip

Hello, I would like to make the following enquiry.

I will be arriving at Narita Airport Terminal 2, on 4 Apr 8am, and would like to visit 1.Arakurayama Sengen Park and Kawaguchi lake (1-2days) and 2.Tokyo Disneyland(1day). I will then proceed to Kyoto on 7 Apr, Saturday early morning, staying at Gion ryokan q-beh.

Could you advice me if I should go to Mount fuji first or Tokyo disneyland first, so it's more convenient to travel to Kyoto using the JR pass?

Also, could you advice what train or bus service I should take to go to the 4 locations above?

In addition, is there a copy of the train services in Tokyo and Kyoto available that I could view online? Which are the lines that I could board with JR pass? I would appreciate that very much as it would be very helpful with my planning.

Thank you in advance for patiently answering.

Best Regards,
Wenhui

Hi Wenhui,

Going from Kawaguchiko to Kyoto directly is not easy, as such I would advice going to Kawaguchiko first, then the Disneyland and then travel on to Kyoto.

For travel to Kawaguchiko see:

You can use the Hikari Shinkansen with the Japan Rail Pass directly between Tokyo and Kyoto.

For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
