Do you have to activate your jr rail pass the day you pick it up or can it be activated for a different day
I'm coming to Tokyo on the 29th of March and will be staying until the 7th of April, but I don't want to use the rail pass until the 1st of April

Hi there,
You can select your own first day of use when you exchange the JR Pass in Japan. This can a later date up to 30 days. In other words, you do not have to start using it right away.
