Q1: Is JR pass worth for the 8 days coverage? If yes, please advise me the package & the rate.
1.) Travel within the Kansai Area (where Kyoto/Osaka/Kobe/Nara) are located is not expanvice and generally the best way to travel is to just buy tickets as you travel. I would also advise doing so in your case.
2.) I think that you've made a very good selection of places to visit. Many are highlights I would suggest as well.
3.) Certainly, lockers are available in every side from small to full suitcase. Prices range between 300-900yen for 24h. No advance booking is required.
Hope this helps,
