We're stopping by Tokyo for 6 days, out of that would like to do see Kyoto for two days then back to Tokyo to Natita again. Would a 7-day jr pass beneficial?

Hello there,

This is a bit of a classic question. The 7 day JR Pass is almost the say price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto using the Shinkansen. From there any additional travel is where you can make savings. For instance, using it for one way to Narita Airport is enough. The JR Pass is also good for travel on the JR Network in Tokyo and invites you to make a day trip or two somewhere else as well.

Great trips to make from Tokyo include Kamakura, Nikko and Yokohama.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
