We're planning to go to Kyoto, Hiroshima, Kobe, Osaka from Tokyo. Can you please advise on what's the best route possible? Would the 7 day pass be worth it? Thanks!

Hi there,

You've already got the good order written down in your own post. I would advise checking out this Shinkansen map. The Shinkansen basically is one long route traversing Japan and all the places you wish to visit are directly on it!

A 7 day JR Pass would help you make outstanding savings with the above itinerary!

We also have a great interactive map with all lines included!

Hope this helps!
Daniel

PS: You may have to zoom in on the map.

Hi Daniel-san,

Another person is joining us to go to Kyoto, Hiroshima from Osaka (Kansai Airport) What pass would you recommend that would match our 7 day JR pass so we can go on the same trains together?

Thanks again in advance!

Hi there,

You can just all go and buy tickets together, the difference is that you'll get your tickets free with the JR Pass, while the person joining you will have to pay the normal fare. Just tell the staff that you'll be traveling together and they will seat you together.
