Hi, I'm spending 10 days in Japan, and flying in Tokyo and departing from Osaka. Should i get the 7 days JR pass or just individual trips?

My itinerary:
Day 1 Arrival at Narita Airport -> Hakone (Should I use JR pass or Hakone Free Pass?)
Day 2 Hakone -> Kyoto
Day 3 Kyoto
Day 4 Kyoto (might travel to Nara and kobe in btw)
Day 5 Kyoto
Day 6 Kyoto
Day 7 Kyoto -> Osaka
Day 8 Osaka
Day 9 Osaka
Day 10 Osaka -> Departure from Kansai Airport

Hi there,

I would buy individual tickets here, a JR is useful if you make a return Tokyo - Kyoto/Osaka, you basically travel one way with Hakone on the route.

You can consider a Hakone free pass if you plan on exploring the Hakone area a lot. It pays off if you travel full circle.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
