Hi!
Can someone advise me if i should buy a 7 day pass for a 10 day itinerary, and when is best to activate the pass on the 3rd or 4th day? And does the pass work on other public transport like Kyoto bus and trains to Arashiyama?

I already have a SUICA from my previous trip to Japan.
thanks

Day 1 arrive at Tokyo Haneda airport heading to Airbnb at Ishikawadai
Day 2 sight seeing around Tokyo (Asakusa, Harajuku, Shibuya)
Day 3 Tsukiji market and more sight seeing
Day 4 Off to Hakone
Day 5 leaving Hakone and going to Kyoto
Day 6 Sight seeing
Day 7 Sight seeing
Day 8 head off to Osaka
Day 9 possible detour to Nara if we have time
Day 10 Flying out from Kansai Airport

Thats my preliminary for now, please advise me if there is other alternatives. Thanks for your help :)

Hi there,

I see you will be traveling one way from Tokyo - Osaka and flying out from Kansai Airport. This is not enough for a JR Pass to help you make savings and my advise would be to buy normal tickets for your trip.

A Suica card can be very handy.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
