Hi I am Desy, I am going to travel to Japan On next February with an itenerary :

Landing at Hanena on Feb 9, then continuing with local flight to Chitose.
Want to travel around Hokkaido areaa ( Sapporo, Otaru, Hakkodate) , and back to Haneda at Feb 13. I have another 8 days that I am going to spend to visiting yokohama, hakone, Kamamura, and Tokyo.

What JR pass I should buy? Please advice. Thank you

Hi Desy,

I checked your itinerary for the best option. What I see is that most of your travel is located around Sapporo and Tokyo. However the JR Pass works best when making longer trips. For instance, if you'd have used the train from Tokyo - Hokkaido, then you would make great savings.

So for now I would recommend sticking to normal tickets. However if you where to venture forth a little more and say visit Kyoto from Tokyo, then a JR Pass could be very useful.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
