Hi there guys. Nice to be in this fórum.

The reason of this message is the following. Im travelling to Japan as I said from October 31st to November 15th

I arrive to Narita the 31st in the noon and leaving the 15th at almost the same time

Im trying to decide if going to buy the 1 week pass (its around 400 dollars in my country)

As Ive read in previous post I can decide which days im going to use the pass.

I have a friend in Tokyo so ill be staying in tokyo for around 1 week.

I want to see several places in other days such as (Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Yokohama, and Mt Fuji if posible)

Need help to make an itinerary that makes sense without losing time and money with the JR Pass.

Please if you could help ill be really grateful.

Thanks!!

HI there!

A 7 day JR Pass already pays of with just a return Tokyo - Osaka, you can really make some great savings if you visit different places as well, such as Nagoya and Yokohama.

I would recommend something like the following, given that you will have a 7 day JR Pass.
Tokyo - Kyoto (3 days)
Kyoto - Osaka (1 day trip, stay the night in Kyoto)
Kyoto - Nagoya (1 day and stay the night)
Nagoya - Yokohama (2days 1night)
Yokohama - Tokyo last day of the JR Pass.

This way you will have a good amount in every city and don't lose much time to traveling. You can switch days around as you wish, for instance move one from Kyoto to Osaka, although I would recommend staying in Kyoto as Osaka is much like Tokyo. You could also return sooner to Tokyo and make a day trip from there to Nikko, wish is also not to be missed!

Let me know what you think!

It looks nice. Is it OK if I stay only 1 day in Osaka and 1 in Nagoya? I mean Kyoto is liky the most important place to stay in that visit.

Am I right? I was wondering regarding Hiroshima. Is not far from Osaka. Does it worth losing one day in one of those places and go over there? Or maybe sacrifice a day in Tokyo?

The JR pass allow me to go over there from tokyo? Or is it another región and not possible?

Thanks for your help Daniel. Could you recommend me an Alternate Itinerary including Hiroshima and telling me wich city is posible to exclude of the previous itinerary?

Just to decide. I mean If I had more money and time i would visit more cities from Japan. But given that I only going to have a 7 day pass I want to se remarkable and important places.

Thanks a lot.

Diego

Hi Diago!

I do think that Hiroshima is a great destination and certainly worth considering. You can also make a visit to Miyajima from there, which is one the the most iconic places of Japan. You could then drop Yokoyama from your JR Pass usage list because travel from Yokohama to Tokyo is very cheap.

You could try the following:

I would recommend something like the following, given that you will have a 7 day JR Pass.
Tokyo - Kyoto (3 days)
Kyoto - Osaka (1 day trip, stay the night in Kyoto)
Hiroshima (1 day)
Kyoto - Nagoya (1 day and stay the night)
Nagoya - Yokohama (1days) last day of the JR Pass.
Yokohama - Tokyo

I hope this helps!

Hi Kasakun!

Yes the JR Pass is indeed valid for 7 consecutive days, so take this in mind when planning.
