Hi there,

All these places are covered by the JR Pass and I recommend using a 7 or 14 day JR Pass depending on the amount of days that you are traveling. Going all the way down to Hakata and up to Yonezawa will help you make a lot of savings, compared to purchasing normal tickets.

Since I do not know the exact days of your travel, by advise would be to start using the JR Pass on the first day that you make a long trip.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
