I'm trying to find out if my journey would be covered by the Japan Rail Pass and if it would be worth it for this journey:
Tokyo - Shinshu Zenkoji Yakuoin (Nagano)
Shinshu Zenkoji Yakuoin - Takaragawa Onsen (Gunma)
Takaragawa Onsen - Tokyo Station
Tokyo Station - Narita Airport
I couldn't find Gunma on the JPR fare calculator to see if it was worth it and if it would be covered. Can you please help?
Hi there,
You'd have to do a little more travel for a JR Pass to be effective here. Instead, I would recommend looking at the JR East Nagano Pass.
For Gunma, this is quite a large area in Japan. Takaragawa Onsen does not have a rail station nearby and requires access via bus or other transport. Details are on their website: http://www.takaragawa.com/english.html
