Dear Sir/Madam,

For your information, my husband and I will be traveling to Japan for 8 days in middle of December 15.
We are landing at Narita airport, and planning to go straight from Narita to Kyoto, follow up Osaka, Hakone and back
to Tokyo on day 7. Since the JR pass is only valid for 7 days, meaning our departure from Narita airport would be a separate purchase of train ticket from Tokyo Station on day 8.

Would my itinerary fit in the 7 days JR pass?

Your reply is very much appreciated!

Best Regards,
Kathleen

Hi Kathleen,

Yes the JR Pass will fit your itinerary well and you can make good savings over purchasing normal tickets. Even if you buy a normal train ticket back to Narita Airport on the last day.

To return to Narita Airport there are a couple of options.

1.) Buy a ticket on the Narita Express. this is the fastest and most convenient train to Narita airport, cost is around 3,000yen.

2.) Take a local train, slower and less comfortable but only costs around 1,200yen.

3.) Use the 1,000yen Narita Bus.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
