we are going to Japan in June and propose to go from Tokyo to Hiroshima and possibly to Fukuoka to visit a friend and then from Hiroshima to Kyoto and then to Hakone to see Mt Fuji and back to Tokyo

Is a JR pass good value for this itinerary?

If so, will it be OK to book seats when we activate our pass ?

Thanks

Donald

Hi Donald,

Oh yes! The JR Pass offers amazing value on this route. Going all the way down to Fukuoka without the JR Pass is very costly (¥ 22,950 for one way) and you can get very good savings. The JR Pass would also cover transport between all the other cities you wish to visit.

It will be absolutely OK to reserve your tickets, once you activate the JR Pass.
