Hi, Please suggest me what to do here. I ll start travelling in japan on 29th march till 8th of april, when i depart from narita. Here is my very rough itinerary -

1) 29 march - Reach narita airport, board train till Amagasaki.
2) 30 march - Travel in train/bus around osaka
3) 31 march - Travel in train/bus around osaka OR might make a return trip to Hiroshima.
4) 1 April - Leave from Amagasaki. Board train to Narashi,(Nishinokyō Station train). Roam in Nara park etc
5) 2 April - Travel from Nishinokyō Station train to kyoto and travel in Kyoto in bus/train and then come back to Narashi.
6) 3 April - Might go to kyoto again for from Nishinokyō Station train again and then come back to Narashi.
7) 4 April - Leave from Nishinokyō Station train to Minato, tokyo's accommodation.
8) 5 April - Roam around tokyo.
9) 6 April - Roam around tokyo
10) 7 April - Might or might not make a trip to Mt. Fuji.
11) 8 April - Leave Minato, Tokyo place to narita airport. And depart japan.

We are a couple. I am definitely buying the 7 day JR pass , however I want to know if the 14 day pass will make more sense for the itinerary mentioned above? If you think the 14 day pass will cost me way over than buying my travel expenses separately from day 8th onward then I will buy the 7 day pass, however If you think the 14 day pass will give me the value anyways coz there is a lot of travel in tokyo too(dont know yet if it is short distance or not ).
Thanks. :)

Hello there,

I checked your itinerary for the best options and would definitely recommend the 7 day JR Pass. This will give you amazing savings over normal tickets in the first 7 days.

Travel within Tokyo is generally not very expansive and it's better to just buy local tickets or buy a day pass for the Tokyo Metro or a JR Tokunai Pass.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Great trip btw!
