Should I get JR pass and for how long

Hello,

I plan to travel to Japan in November for 22 days. Could you please advice me on whether the JR pass will pay off and if it will, which one should I get(for how many days and when).
Following is a breakdown into days:

Kansai airport
Kyoto
Kyoto
Kyoto
Nara
Nara
Koyasan
Osaka
Kanazawa

Takayama

Hi Anna,

I checked your itinerary for the best options and would advise buying normal tickets for your itinerary. You basically travel in an arc from Kyoto to Tokyo via the northern side of the Japanese main Island, with the luxery of a good amount of time. When you look at the distance traveled, it's relatively not that much and a JR Pass would not be put to good use here.

It looks like a very nice itinerary though!
