Hi,
So basically you will go from Osaka to Tokyo by train, and fly back down to Osaka, is that correct? You would need to make a round trip back to Osaka by train and put in a small side trip or two within a week to make a 7 day pass pay off. Your choices would be to add more itinerary to make the pass pay off, or buy a regular fare train ticket, or fly up to Tokyo on a low cost carrier like Jet Star or Peach.

Best of luck.

Hi Toraneko,

I am flying off from tokyo back to Singapore.

Thanks for your recommendation, is it worth it for me to buy the Tokyo area pass?

Hi,
There is a Kanto Area Pass, but that would mean taking several trips outside of Tokyo. To see many sights withing Tokyo for several consecutive days, you might look at a 3 day subway pass. To go to Narita Airport cheaply, you might look at a 1000 yen bus.
In Tokyo a few of the best places to see are the Tsukiji Fish Market, plus the site that every last tourist goes to see, the Sensoji Temple. If you are in Tokyo on a Sunday afternoon, be sure to go visit Harajuku to see the youth with their wild fashions. Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park are next to it and well worth seeing also. And be sure not to miss the Shibuya Hachiko intersection especially on a weekend when it looks like half the city is crossing the street all at once.
For other ideas, you might look at the Tokyo government's tourist page, a good guide by JAL, or this resident's page.
