Hello - Here's my itinerary:

Thurs - Mar 6 - arrive Narita, stay in Tokyo
Sat - Mar 8 - travel to Hakuba
skiing - not sure if we'll use the trains in Nagano
Thurs - Mar 13 - travel to Kyoto
Sat - Mar 15 - travel to Narita

Please let me know it would make sense to buy a rail pass for this trip, we would probably have to go with the 14 day pass given that 2 of the main trips are 8 days apart.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Let's have a look at ticket prices and find out:
Narita Airport - Tokyo ¥ 2,740
Tokyo - Hakuba ¥ 10,390
Hakuba - Kyoto ¥ 10,540
Kyoto - Narita Airport ¥ 15,530

For a total of ¥ 39,200, however right now it would add up to the cost of a JR Pass and for now it would be better to purchase tickets as you travel.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
