Hello!
I'm wondering how the regional passes work, I won't be travelling to the Hokkaido region, nor Kyushu or Central.
Basically I will be traveling from Narita airport - Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka - Nara - Hiroshima - Mt Fuji - Tokyo and Narita. So my question is if its better to buy by region or get the whole JR pass no matter the regions I will be visiting.

Thanks, hope it's clear.

Hi there,

Definitely go for a JR Pass! There's no area pass which would be effective here.

Narita airport - Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka - Hiroshima - Mt Fuji are all different regions.

You will already do enough travel for a 7 day or 14 day JR Pass to pay of by visiting Kyoto and Hiroshima.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
