Hello Cherry,

Definitely go for the 14 day JR Pass :) Even though its validity period is longer than your 11 days in Japan - there's more than enough travel in the above itinerary to make it worth every yen!

Have a look at this:
Sapporo - Hakodate (return) ¥ 17,660
Osaka - Hiroshima ¥ 16,580
Hiroshima - Takayama ¥ 10,030
Takayama - Kyoto ¥ 9,660

For a total of ¥ 53,930 the 14 day JR Pass is ¥ 46,390 so you'll make good savings. The JR Pass is also valid for travel to the airport, Otaru, to Miyajima, inside Osaka and many more places, adding a lot more.

Hope this helps!
Daniel

Hi Cherry,

Seems that you've made quite some changes. With this itinerary I would advise buying normal tickets. The 7 day JR Pass would have been a good option if you made a visit to Hiroshima or returned to Osaka.

For reference, the JR Pass is not valid on the Metro but can be used on all local trains run by JR.

Enjoy!
Daniel
