Hi,

I going to Japan on 11-18April.
But I have no idea for my Japan trip schedule.
Can anyone help me?

11april I will touch down at narita airport around 2pm.
My plan is:
11 April : 2pm reach narita airport-stay 1night at Tokyo

12 April: early morning take train to Kyoto

(1. can anyone suggest how many days I should stay at kyoto?) (2. the distance from Kyoto to Osaka no far right?) (3. If I plan to visit Osaka too can? 1day enough for Osaka?)

13 April : Kyoto

14April : Osaka

15-18 April : Back to Toyko

Is worth for me buy the JR Pass?
Thanks Who can answer my question.

If you have a 7 day JR Pass and you activate it on Apr. 12th, and depart Japan to go home on Apr 18th, taking the Narita Express train from Tokyo to Narita, then with your itinerary it would pay off. Otherwise, you would be a little short - but you could easily make up for it by taking a day trip from Tokyo to Nikko, for example, which would be well worth it.
If you can, staying an extra day in Kyoto would be worth it as well (Apr 12-14). And since you are already going to see Tokyo, you can largely skip Osaka during the day time. After you see the temples/shrines in Kyoto, which close around 5 PM, you can also go see Osaka in the evening, which is when the city becomes alive. It only takes about 30 minutes between Osaka and Kyoto by express train. Dotonbori is a great place, and the night views from the Umeda Sky Bldg and Abeno Harukas are tremendous:

Seeing Nara is also well worth it - which still leaves you Apr. 16-18 for Tokyo and a day trip to Nikko, or Hakone, or Kamakura if you like.

By the way, for your arrival into Narita on Apr. 11th, there is a cheap 1000 yen bus you can take from Narita to Tokyo:

Hi Toraneko,

thanks so much your time to reply.

from tokyo to nikko will be spend 2hour?
But I reach at narita airport already 2pm, estimate settle all thing at airport the time will be 3pm+ and then head to tokyo around the time estimate will be 4pm+.

If stay 3 night at kyoto, any good place advise for visit besides the temple?
Possible I use 2days time to visit the temple/history place?
It will be rushing or not?

I think your advise take bus from narita to toyko will be good enough for me.

To see Nikko will take a full day. I recommend you go there after Kyoto, On Apr. 16 or Apr 17th. It is about 150km away and takes about 1 hour 45 minutes to get there. Start early in the morning. This site has more info:

I don't know where you are flying into Narita from, but if you have a long airplane trip, I recommend you try to take a relaxed and easy first day. Traveling while exhausted is not enjoyable at all.

For Kyoto, you could stay in Kyoto for 2 weeks and not see everything there. Your time is limited and you won't see everything good. But three of the top places to see are Kinkakuji (the Golden Pavilion), Kiyomizudera, and Fushimi Inari Shrine. Three days in Kyoto and one in Nara is good, but if you are bored of temples/shrines, another possibility is to take half a day and to go see Himeji Castle - it is the finest in Japan and after many years of renovation it will be ready in a few more weeks. You can use your JR Pass to take the bullet train to Himeji, which also would increase your savings.

Toraneko,

I flight from Singapore.
I will take early flight 6am, so when reach at Japan I think I need a rest and I will plan take a look at Tokyo first.

Because my time is limited, so I cant ever stay long time at 1place.
But as long as I can visit some place that representative, so I will choose some point of view.

This is my very first time visit Japan.
So I really not idea for my schedule, haha.
