Mt. Fuji Round, Hiroshima and Nagasaki

I'm travelling from Oct. 14-15-16, 2015. I feel your JRPASS is not suitable for me but i want to visit Mt. Fuji Round, Hiroshima and Nagasaki in three days Pl advice me how we have experience of bullet train.

My base city is Tokyo

Thank you.

Hello Sunil,

I recommend having a look at distances and travel times from Tokyo - Hiroshima and Nagasaki first. While you could visit them in 3 days, you will pretty much only spend time traveling if you do want to include Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The JR Pass is valid on the Shinkansen to Hiroshima and on to Nagasaki and you can use very good savings over buying normal tickets but again I first recommend looking at the route and see if spending so much time traveling is worth it to you.

To give you an idea, Tokyo - Nagasaki takes 442 Minutes on the Shinkansen.

For Fuji and how to access it, please see our Fuji Blog post.

Hope this helps,

The only way you could possibly do it would be to fly from Haneda to Nagasaki by some carrier like ANA or Sky Mark, see the city briefly, and then take a bullet train to Hiroshima.

It would allow you to ride the bullet train, and a 7 day JR Pass would work along with using it for the Narita Express and getting part way to Hakone to see Mt Fuji.

Your time would be limited though, and you wouldn't be able to see a lot. Near Hiroshima, Miyajima is the real treat, but you'd be hard pressed to see both there and Hiroshima City. Nagasaki would give you close to 6 hours before sunset and time to go to Hiroshima. I wouldn't really like to travel that way, but if that is the only way you can do it, it is still better than nothing.

Best of luck.
