Hi,

Can i check if the following is worth getting a JR pass?
I will be in Japan for 12 days.

Below are a rough guide of my trip as I haven't go into detailed planning yet

Narita Airport - Osaka
Osaka to Kyoto
Kyoto to Shizuoka
Shizuoka to Tokyo

I am planning to spend about 4 days in both Osaka & Tokyo. Another 3 days probably for a 1-2 days trip in Kyoto and Shizuoka for Mt fuji.

Will the JR pass cover the SHinkansen train? I am planning to get the 7days and while I am in tokyo, i will get the tokyo metro pass.

Appreciate any feedback :)

Hi there,

Yes a 7 day JR Pass would be helpful here, given that you would cover travel to Osaka, Kyoto, Shizuoka and Tokyo with it. The JR Pass also includes the Shinkansen, so you are covers for all the cities you plan to travel to.
