Hello Daniel (?),

Could you be kind enough to check my itinerary below? I appreciate your guidance on whether i should get d 14 day JR pass of if there is another option more suitable.

Day 1 - March 16 Tokyo - at the hostel in Kuramae by 10am - Rest of the day TBA
Day 2 - March 17 Tokyo - Shibuya and Shinjuku
Day 3 - March 18 Tokyo - Leave early for Hakone and sleep there.
Day 4 - March 19 - Hakone - Finish exploring and leave for Kyoto (Explore Central Kyoto)
Day 5 - March 20 - Kyoto - Explore (Morning in Northern Kyoto and Arashiyama afternoon)
Day 6 - March 21 - Kyoto
Day 6 - March 22 - Kyoto - Hikone and Nagahama
Day 7 - March 23 - Kyoto - Nara
Day 8 - March 24 - Kyoto - Explore Philosopher's Path in the morning and Higashiyama for lunch and afternoon.
Day 9 - March 25 - Kyoto - Head to Himeji and explore. Then continue to Hiroshima and sleep there
Day 11 - March 26 - Hiroshima - Morning in Miyajima and finalize Hiroshima in the afternoon. Sleep in Osaka
Day 10 - March 27 - Osaka - Explore full day and sleep in Kobe
Day 13 - March 28 - Kobe - Explore the city and travel to Tokyo in the evening.
Day 14 -March 29 - Tokyo - Ueno, Akihabara, Imperial Palace
Day 15 - March 30 - Tokyo - Daytrip to Kamakura
Day 16 - March 31 - Tokyo - Daytrip to Ito or Nikko
Day 17 - April 1 - Tokyo - Asakusa & Odaiba
Day 18 - April 2 - Tokyo - Narita by 10am

I am more than happy to help you find the best option(s) for your itinerary.

Looking over your itinerary, I would certainly recommend a 14 day JR Pass. There's a lot of travel here and you can make outstanding savings compared to using normal tickets. I would either start using the JR Pass when you travel to Hakone or when you travel from Hakone to Kyoto.

The rest looks like an amazing trip!
