Hi all, I am planning a trip to Japan and would like to see your advice on my current itinerary.
1) Tokyo to Osaka (3 days)
2) Osaka to Hakone (2 days)
3)Hakone to Tokyo (2 days)
Give the above routes, would it be good to purchase a JR pass?

Yes, the cost of a 7 day JR Pass is about the cost as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka using the Shinkansen.
With the JR Pass you get 7 days of unlimed travel for the same price.
One note on usage, you can use the JR Pass and Shinkansen to travel to Hakone (Odawara station) but not within Hakone. There a Hakone Free Pass may be useful.
