Hi there,

Will you return from Osaka to Tokyo or fly out of Osaka/Kansai? If you do make the return to Tokyo, then the 7 day JR Pass would be an interesting option to consider. However it would be better to buy normal tickets if you fly out of Osaka.

I would also recommend buying a Suica card for travel in Tokyo and possibly Osaka. This is a prepaid travel cards and it saves you from buying tickets every time you travel.

Have you heard of Hyperdia? It's a very good resource of checking route information, such as ticket prices and travel time. We have a great blog post to get you started.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
