Hi

We arrive to Narita on 3/26 in the evening. Plan to stay in Tokyo till the 29th. Then take the Shinkansen to Kyoto that day. Leaving Kyoto on Apr. 2 to Narita for departure.

My question is: would it be best to just pay for the transfer to Tokyo from Narita when we arrive and then use the 7 day train pass starting on our 2nd day? That way we can use the Shinkansen and express train to Narita.

Any advice much appreciated

Nashi

Hello Nashi,

Yes, that would make a lot of sense :)

You can even use local trains or an express bus into Tokyo if you want to save some money on transport.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
