Hello. I would much appreciate some advice on whether I should purchase the 7 or 14 day pass for the below itinerary.
Is it better to buy a 7 day, then pay for a 3 day Hakone pass, then a 1 way ticket Hakone to Tokyo?

MANY THANKS!!

Day 1 - arrive Hiroshima (by air)
Day 2 - Hiroshima
Day 3 - Hiroshima to Kyoto
Day 4 - Kyoto
Day 5 - Kyoto
Day 6 - Kyoto
Day 7 - Kyoto
Day 8 - Kyoto to Hakone (is nearest JR called Odawara?)
Day 9 - Hakone
Day 10 - Hakone to Tokyo
Day 11 - Tokyo
Day 12 - Tokyo
Day 13 - Tokyo
Day 14 - Tokyo
Day 15 - Tokyo to Narita

Hello there,

Looking at your itinerary, I would actually advise buying normal tickets for your itinerary. As the price of normal tickets (Hiroshima - Kyoto and Kyoto - Odawara station) are below the cost of a 7 day Japan Rail Pass. Within Hakone, you could look at using a Hakone Free Pass. This pass overs good value of you plan on exploring the Hakone region.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you for your reply Daniel.
Is it possible to pre-book normal tickets online?
