Dear, Im Argentina and Im traveling since eight months ago, now in Hanoi Vietnam, and yesterday decided to travel to Japan, recently bought the JRPass 7 days and now I'm to buy the flight to travel in 3 days (as you receive the ticket of JR Pass).
Arrived in Osaka, and I have no idea what zone stop, like going from the airport to downtown (hostel) to see. I would greatly appreciate that can help me, if someone already has experience and has a itinerary for facilitating me.
I am traveling alone and all advice to help me.
Thank you so much!
regards

Hello Solange,

It's a bit of a shame that I can't come down to Osaka and meet you myself :)

However I am sure you'll have a great time. To start with, why not make your way from the Airport to Namba. This is the local heart of Osaka and the atmosphere is the best!

From there you will want to see more of Japan as you already have the JR Pass. A couple of the best visits for a first time in Japan include Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Nara and a view of Fuji. For the last, a visit to Hakone could be ideal.

We also have a 7 day sample itinerary you may like.

I can give you some more recommendations if you tell me what you are interested in.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi Daniel , I'm thinking about to do this:

20/5 hanoi 9 am Osaka kansai 22.40 hs
Night in:
21/5 OSAKA
22/5 OSAKA....Hiroshima and Miyajima
23/5 OSAKA....Nara

24/5) KIOTO
25) KIOTO

26) Shizuoka (Mt.Fuji)

27) Yokohama

28) TOKIO
29) EL MONTE FUJI
30) TOKIO
31) TOKIO
23 hs flght to Ho Chi Min

or could get to Osaka and take a direct train to Iroshima , make a night there and 22 down to 3 days Osaka , Kyoto and Tokyo after ?

What do you think?

If you have any itinerary with places to visit please send it to me .

Thank you very much ! regards

Hi Solange,

That looks like a great start and it is an easy to travel itinerary.

Also like the idea of adding Hiroshima and Miyajima, personally I would recommend them for any trip to Japan.

I would also start in Osaka, arrival a 22:40 is too late to travel to Hiroshima, because there won't be any trains going there at that hour. This way you spread your travel around nicely.

You may also like this sample itinerary.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
