Hello,

Thank you for your help - I am currently deciding if it will be best value to get a 7 day or 14 day pass.

Current itinerary:

Arrive Tokyo from Narita airport Tuesday May 15th

Travel from Tokyo to Matsumoto on Saturday May 19th

Start Tateyama-kurobe alpine route from Matsumoto on May 22nd
Stay at Kurobe Dam onsen on 22nd May overnight

Kanazawa from 23rd to 25th May

Osaka May 25th to 29th ( we will likely do a day trip to Nara during this time)

Travel back from Osaka to Tokyo Narita airport on 29th May.

Kind regards,

Kimberley

Hello Kimberley,

I had a look around for the best option but can't really match a JR Pass to your itinerary. You travel period is longer than 7 days but you don't cover enough cost for a 14 day JR Pass to be worth it.

As such, for now I'd buy normal tickets. A 14 day JR Pass could be worth it if you added a side trip, for instance to Hiroshima.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
