Will have a 7-day trip from Aug 25 to 31. My wife and my kid (5 years old) will be with me.

My plan is as below:
Day 1: Osaka Kensai Airport -> Cross Hotel (Shinsaibashi) -> Dotonbori
Day 2: Osaka universal studios -> Shinsaibashi
Day 3: Umeda -> Bay area (Tempozan) -> Shinsaibashi
Day 4: Shinsaibashi -> Nara -> Shinsaibashi -> Kyoto (Hotel New Hankyu)
Day 5: Kiyomizu Temple -> Tokaido Shinkansen (Hikar) to Tokyo -> Gracery Hotel (Shinjuku)
Day 6: Shinjuku -> Tokyo Disneyland -> Shinjuku
Day 6: Shinjuku -> N'EX to Narta airport

Please advise whether I should get JR pass (or any other type of pass) to save my transportation cost? Million thanks!

Hi there,

I recommend purchasing normal rail ticket for your trip. A JR Pass starts being useful if you make a return Tokyo - Osaka or Tokyo - Kyoto. You will be travelling one way, which is not enough for a JR Pass to help you make savings.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
