We plan as below:
1. arrive at Narita T2 and stay at a hotel in Akasaka Tokyo.
2. stay 4 nights in Tokyo to see Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine, Playstation tower etc
3. travel from Tokyo to Osaka
4. stay 6 nights in Osaka to see Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima. We plan to see Osaka castle and cherry blossom, and Minoo waterfall and red bridge Ryuanji Temple. Travel to Nara to Giant Buddha. Travel to Hiroshima to see A bomb museum.
5. travel back to Tokyo from Osaka/Hiroshima
6. stay 2 nights in Tokyo at Disneyland/sea and fly out from Narita T2.

Is it worth buying 7 or 14 days JR? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Hi Phonesy,

Yes, a 7 day JR Pass will offer outstanding value for this trip! A return trip Tokyo - Osaka using the Shinkansen will be for the 7 day JR Pass. Just imagine all the savings for travel to Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima added in. Just travel between Hiroshima and Osaka would cost around 20,000yen within the JR Pass.

As an extra visit, Consider visiting Miyajima from Hiroshima, this is one of the most iconic places in Japan and not to be missed in any visit.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
