We are planning to spend about a week in Japan. However, it seems we won't need to spend a lot of time Hokkaido, so we are planning to go down to other parts of Japan. What are some economic ways I can travel from Hokkaido down to Tokyo? What would the cost be like?

Hello there,

Here is an example route&arv_node=TOKYO&via_node01=&via_node02=&via_node03=&year=2014&month=07&day=15&hour=10&minute=34&search_type=0&search_way=&transtime=undefined&sort=0&max_route=5&airplane=off&ship=off&bus=off&lmlimit=null&search_target=route&facility=reserved&sum_target=7) Sapporo - Tokyo.

The cost of a single ticket is ¥ 24,340, note that this can be more if you take breaks during your travel.

The alternative would be to take a flight, however ticket prices can differ a lot.
