I know that JR pass can cover our travel from Osaka to Sapporo. I need to know what are the transportation we need to ride and how long will we travel? Approximity of time details will be essential with us so we could decide whether we will proceed with this plan. Our arrival will be on April 20, 2016, send our 3days to Osaka then planning to go Sapporro.

Hi there,

The route Osaka - Sapporo consists of the following legs:
Osaka - Tokyo, using the Tokaido Shinkansen. Takes about 180 minutes.
Tokyo - Shin-Hakodate, using the Hokkaido Shinkansen. Takes about 330 minutes.
Then Shin-Hakodate to Sapporo by ltd. express train. Takes about 220 minutes.

The route is completely covered by the JR Pass.
