Hello there,

I checked the route that you plan to travel and from my findings I think that it would be better to buy normal tickets as you travel cost wise. A lot of travel is around Kansai, the area where Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara are located. The JR Pass is valid for travel between also these places, however ticket prices within Kansai are so low that it simply does not make sense to use a pass.

The JR Pass is also good for travel on the Shinkansen, however with just one way Kyoto - Tokyo you would not be able to make savings with the pass.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
